Welcome to the 2025 Oberon Chamber Music Festival!

It’s with great pleasure that I present the third Oberon Chamber Music Festival, a weekend of fabulous chamber music set in the beautiful town of Oberon. This year we’re joined by nine outstanding musicians from around the country, all of whom perform regularly on international stages. Across six concerts, you’ll hear music by Brahms, Mozart, Schubert, Ravel, Debussy and more, performed in venues including the stunning Malachi Gilmore Hall, the intimate St Barnabas' Church, and a rare concert in the gorgeous chapel at Mayfield Gardens. Enjoy pre-concert talks at Oberon Library by a renowned musicologist, mingle with the artists after the Festival Gala concert, and join us for a special Sunday Festival Luncheon at the acclaimed Milbrey Restaurant.

We have a mix of much-loved and lesser-known works this year, from the opening Festival Gala concert, featuring Mendelssohn’s masterful and rarely heard Sextet, alongside works by Hummel and Rossini, to the final concert, which brings together an all-French program of masterworks and features celebrated harpist Louisic Dulbecco. Other highlights include a morning performance at Mayfield Gardens with superstar flautist Joshua Batty, a candlelit night-time concert of duos, and the Streeton Trio performing major works by Brahms and Schubert. Whether you’re visiting for a single concert or the full weekend, I hope the festival offers a chance to slow down, listen closely, and enjoy some truly memorable music together.
